Shellac Nail Polish Review

Just a quick post to say that I adore the Shellac nail polish!! I have had it on for two weeks now and it looks as pretty as it did when it got done. I have been fighting the urge to pick at it with all my might, at the corners and edges. But I have to say, it made my nails stronger so they all grew out together. I usually have longer nails, but not usually together unless I make a point of not doing ANYTHING or at least one will break right before an important event. :0) Always.. Anyways I don't have any pictures of when I first got them done but here is what they look like now.

There is serious grow out on the nails, of course, but they are so strong right now I really am hesitant to take off the polish.
I have done a little bit of research and Shellac is a mixture of gel nail technology and old school nail polish. So it goes on like a regular nail polish but has the resilience of gels as well as the strength benefit for your nails.
I will remove these, eventually, with acetone polish remover. I refuse to pay $10 for a salon to do what I can do at home. But like I said, I am procrastinating! I know the moment I remove them I will break a nail.
I am seriously considering getting the starter kit to do these at home. My girls would love it AND I could then do my toes. It cost me (or rather my bestest as a bday present) $30 to get these done. I cant see me affording doing this every two weeks, and honestly after about 4 applications the kit would pay for itself. But we shall see.
