Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter!! We had a lovely time. The girls found eggs, we talked about the real reason for this holiday. We made colored eggs and sugar cookies (which the Hubbs and I promptly ate, but that's another blog). We ended up taking a drive, it was a lovely spring day. The dogs came with and we ended up at a French battlefield in Yorktown. It was a fun little walk. Of course the girls and I weren't dressed, or shoe'd, for taking a hike but it was still fun searching for flowers.
Our dogs are a big part of our lives and we love to have them with us as much as possible. But it does present a problem, we get stopped all the time. Questions are asked, petting ensues, and I always feel like I am pushing the boundaries of rudeness as I usher my family back into whatever we were doing before we were stopped. So, there were more scenic places to stop and walk through but this one was all ours. We got to walk the full length of it, listen to Hubbs tell us the story behind what happened there and made it almost back to our car before we got stopped. :0) All in all a very enjoyable day.
